The Advanced Open Water Diver course is a 2 day “hands on” course in which you learn as you dive. A variety of six ocean dives and brief academic sessions will allow you to explore Deep Diving, Navigation and Night & Limited Visibility as well as two specialty areas of particular interest to you (Specialties). Together with your instructor you will select the 2 elective dives from specialties such as; Equipment Techniques, Search & Recovery, Boat Diving, Wreck Diving etc. This program is a great way to explore new interests, develop new skills and fine tune your current diving techniques.
The Advanced Open Water Diver Course is designed to provide the novice diver with a structured, well supervised way to gain practical experience after the Open Water Diver certification. The student will participate in a total of 6 dives, usually accomplished in 2 days (3 dives/day) and complete 4 specialties.
The Advanced Open Water class has requirements and prerequisites that must be met before you can participate in this class.
Prerequisites: Certification as an Open Water Diver, or Junior Open Water Diver (age 12 or older) from any certification agency. A parent’s or guardian’s signature is required on the first day of class for students who are minors.
