Most underwater search and recovery is done by professional divers as part of commercial marine salvage operations, military operations, emergency services, or law enforcement activities. However, minor aspects of search and recovery are also considered within the scope of recreational diving.
Whether it’s the cargo of an old sunken ship, a lost ring or simply your buddy’s accidentally lost dive light, there are times in which the appropriate training to search for lost objects under water is beneficial. We offer a structured program for Search & Recovery where you will learn to perform different search patterns with the help of ropes and compasses, and how to plan search and recovery operations in a team. You will also learn the correct handling of one or more lifting bags in order to bring heavy objects securely to the surface.
